Concern #1: Financial Mismanagement

Concern #2: Not Supporting Parental Rights

Kris Kenyon tells parents who brought their kids who wanted to participate in local governance and have a say in their schools it is “borderline child abuse”.

Concern #3: Lack of Support or Respect for Staff

As of January, there were 50 open positions in our small school district. Whistleblowers from the district office, and some of the staff themselves, have told us that most of these resignations were a result of intimidation from the school board leadership and their hired superintendent that Mr. Kenyon constantly praises. Our Student Support Services team, along with several accomplished principals, were told by this leadership to find jobs elsewhere for next school year.

Kris Kenyon votes with Mr. Parks to charge teachers $2,500 if they need to resign. This would apply if their family needed to move, their mental health was affected, or any reason deemed “not important enough” to the board.

Concern #4: Lack of Integrity

Kenyon belittles a female board member for expressing concerns. Yet, he is open to concerns from male counterparts.

About the Recall

On February 7, 2025, Bryan Parks resigned from his position as president of the Liberty Elementary School District #25 in response to hundreds of community members signing the petition for recall. His friend and ally Kris Kenyon still sits on the board, making decisions about our kids’ futures.

On February 3, 2025, an application for a recall petition serial number was filed with the Office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent.

The ground of the recall are as follows:

Kristopher Kenyon has consistently failed to act in the best interest of our district’s students, parents, and educators. He has disregarded the voices of key stakeholders. He has damaged the collaboration necessary for effective governance. Additionally, his fiscal mismanagement, including drawing from financial reserves, threatens the long-term stability of our schools. His actions jeopardize the quality of education and essential programs that our children depend on. He has been unable to retain valuable employees, contributing to the district's unprecedented number of job openings. Our district needs leadership that prioritizes transparency, fiscal responsibility, and respect for all members of our school community.
